What Makes a Property a "PG Guest Fave?"

 

When Airbnb introduced their "Guest Favorites" program, it really resonated with us. Sure, the "Airbnb Superhost" badge was a great honor, but it didn't differentiate one property from another when comparing properties within the same neighborhoods. And let's be honest - y'all know what neighborhoods you want to stay in or experience next!

Guests ask us all the time which of our properties are the most popular, and that's a hard question to answer because everyone has a different set of priorities for their vacations. So how could we possibly come up with our own list of "Pastel Getaways' Guest Faves?"

It's actually quite simple because we track all sorts of data like it's nobody's business (other companies have called us to ask where they rank on the resort because they know we track them all - Ha!). Like Airbnb, we have our algorithm, and we don't want to reveal the exact formula, but the things that truly signify property popularity and guest adoration are not only their average star ratings, but also the rate at which guests review the properties. As you know, we don't ever ask for a review because that is personal - it's something we only want guests to do if THEY want to do it. Therefore, knowing that we never solicit reviews from our guests, each property's "unsolicited review rate" tells us the story of which properties guests are most enthusiastic about. We look at many other factors, just like Airbnb does, and the formula then fairly tells us which of our properties are top favorites of our guests.

It's important to note that there is not a set number of how many properties can be "PG Guest Faves" - all properties that hit a particular aggregated score or above will be called out as a "Pastel Getaways' Guest Fave." There is no limit!
